Privacy Notice

This unified Privacy Notice covers the Amargi Labs website, future product-testing lists, and the Decido application.
1. Scope
This notice explains what personal data Amargi Labs processes when you use the website, contact us, join future product testing, or use Decido. If a future product processes additional data, this notice will be updated before that functionality is made available.
2. Data controller
The data controller is Amargi Labs. For privacy matters, contact amargilabs@gmail.com.
Before public launch, add the controller’s full legal identity and update the contact address when the domain-based privacy mailbox is active.
3. Website and contact
When you use the contact form, we collect your email address, the message you choose to send us and, if selected, a general topic category. We also record the timestamp and the version of the consent wording you accepted.
The legal basis for processing the contact form is your consent. We use this information solely to respond to your message and provide reasonable related follow-up. We do not use the email address for general marketing or promotional mailing lists.
We do not use our own database for contact-form messages. A submission is converted into an email sent to Amargi Labs, and that email acts as the record of the communication and consent. We do not add your IP address or user-agent to the message. Correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, complete relevant follow-up, or comply with applicable legal obligations. You may withdraw consent or request deletion by contacting amargilabs@gmail.com.
The current website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. We do not create our own visitor database or behavioural profiles. Infrastructure providers may process standard technical data that is necessary to deliver and secure the service.
4. Future product-testing lists
If you choose to join future product testing, we collect only your email address, any optional testing interests you select, and the timestamp and version of the consent wording you accepted.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent. We use your email address solely for invitations or communications related to product testing and related testing activities. We do not add you to a general marketing or promotional mailing list.
We do not use our own database for the testing list. A submission is converted into an email sent to Amargi Labs, and that email acts as the record of consent. We do not store your IP address or user-agent as part of the testing list.
Testing-list data is retained until you withdraw your consent or for 24 months after the last relevant testing activity, whichever comes first. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to a testing invitation or emailing amargilabs@gmail.com and asking to be removed from the testing list.
5. Decido
Decido is developed and published by Amargi Labs. This section explains how Decido handles information when you use the application.
5.1 Data collection
Decido does not collect, transmit, store, or process personal information on external servers. The application does not require users to create an account or sign in. Decido does not use analytics services, advertising services, tracking technologies, or crash-reporting services that collect user information.
5.2 Decision data
Information entered into Decido, including decisions, alternatives, criteria, weights, evaluations, notes, and related decision data, is stored locally on the user’s device. Amargi Labs does not receive, access, view, or store this information on its servers.
5.3 Reports and data export
Decido may allow users to create, export, or share reports containing information they have entered into the application. Exporting or sharing such information occurs only when initiated by the user. Once a user chooses to share or save exported content using another application or service, the handling of that information is subject to the privacy practices of the selected third-party application or service. Decido and Amargi Labs do not automatically transmit exported reports or decision data to third parties.
5.4 Feedback and email communication
Decido may provide users with a link to contact Amargi Labs by email. Selecting this option opens the user’s chosen email application. Decido does not send the email itself and does not automatically collect or transmit information through this functionality. Any information voluntarily included by the user in an email is transmitted through the user’s email provider and will be used only for the purpose of responding to the communication or addressing the submitted feedback.
5.5 Third-party services
Decido does not currently integrate third-party analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking, or crash-reporting services. The application may interact with operating-system functionality, such as file sharing or email applications, when explicitly requested by the user.
5.6 Data retention and deletion
Because Decido stores decision data locally on the user’s device, Amargi Labs does not retain copies of this information on external servers. Users can delete information directly within the application where deletion functionality is available. Local application data can also be removed by clearing the application’s storage through the device settings or by uninstalling the application. Email communications voluntarily sent to Amargi Labs may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry, maintain relevant correspondence, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
5.7 Data security
Decido is designed to minimize privacy risks by keeping user-generated decision information locally on the user’s device and avoiding unnecessary collection or transmission of personal information. The security of locally stored information also depends on the security protections of the user’s device and operating system.
6. Infrastructure providers and international transfers
For the website and the contact and testing forms, we use Cloudflare infrastructure services. The mailbox receiving messages may be hosted by Google/Gmail. These providers may process data outside the EEA under their applicable transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.
7. Cookies, analytics and fonts
The current website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The site currently loads Roboto Flex from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google services to retrieve the font. For a stricter privacy-by-design setup, we intend to self-host the font before public launch.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
9. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated if the functionality of the website, Decido, or other products changes, or if our data-handling practices change. Any updated version will be published at this URL with a revised update date.
